Nos dias 13 e 14 de novembro de 2025, Campo Grande será palco do VIII Seminário Estadual da Guavira, evento que celebra a biodiversidade, o conhecimento tradicional e as iniciativas sustentáveis associadas à guavira – fruto símbolo do Mato Grosso do Sul.
Com o tema “Bioeconomia e Mudanças Climáticas: cultivando biodiversidade e fortalecendo comunidades”, o seminário promoverá debates sobre os desafios e as oportunidades da bioeconomia em tempos de crise climática, reunindo pesquisadores, produtores, estudantes e comunidade em geral.
A programação contará com painéis temáticos, apresentação de trabalhos científicos, oficinas práticas, além da tradicional Feira “Pé di Guavira”: sabores e aromas do MS, com exposição e comercialização de produtos regionais feitos à base da guavira.

The Guavira State Seminar, held annually since 2018, in Campo Grande - MS, which aims to discuss issues related to the preservation, conservation and restoration of guavira, and deals with aspects related to sustainable exploration, product development and tourism, and also the strengthening of a production chain.

The Guavira Festival, which takes place in Bonito-MS. The event has national and foreign tourists to honor and experience this culture of sowing, cultivating, collecting and using the fruit for gastronomic purposes, bringing a real and sustainable impact to local workers and producers. The city of Bonito and guavira are the perfect union of the beauties of Mato Grosso do Sul, considering the regional history, the cultural importance and the consumption of the fruit in the city, as well as the commercial products originated.
